| I want to add a couple of flush rod holders to my yak. I just ones that you stick the rod in, not the fancy Scotty style. Suggestions? | |

| PVC pipe! very cheap, and stonger than the rod holders you buy in fishing or paddling stores. Hit up a home improvement store pvc isle and you can make just about anything. I've been working on a couple rod holder designs myself. | |

| I picked up a couple of flush mount rod holders from Kayak Fishing Supply. They were $8.99. Figured I'd install one on Swifty tonight. I also got the rivets that fork out like a drywall anchor. Well I was done in by a junk pop rivet gun the rivet shafts broke off about an inch above the rivet. Frustrating something so simple. Luckily it is all open inside the hull. I'll just stainless screw and nut them. Should have done this from the start. Figure the rivets looked slick. | |

| Function over form when it comes to this stuff. The stainless will be much better in the long run anyhow. Any pictures of the rig? | |
