Upper Genesee River in Rochester (Corn Hill area)

Just one from a little before Corn Hill Landing, taken on a muggy July day last summer. Great view of the skyline from here, I'm thinking of watching the 4th of July fireworks on my 'yak next year!

Awesome pic. Stefano and I watched the fireworks from there this year and it was great. If you go next year I would suggest LOTS of lights on your boat for the paddle back.

Yah it seems like a dope spot. I can imagine it would be a dark paddle on the way back though. I use my headlamp (from my backpacking gear) whenever I go out at night, and it seems to work well. It keeps my hands free and gives me enough light to see what I need to. I did find a light on ebay for kayaks that is similar to the stern light that motorboats have to have on after dark. Its just kind of a light at the end of a stick type thing. Sorry, not the best description, I'll try to find the listing to show you.

It was very fun. Hopefully we will have a bigger group for next year.
