It was very cool to come across. They were great people, very welcoming! As far as the radio, I almost always bring tunes with me. I bought a cheap boombox from WalMart, and I have an aux cable to plug in my ipod. I place it in my life jacket on the bow of the boat, to help keep it dry if the waves are coming in. Sometimes I just bring my ipod with headphones, but I dont like that as much. Coming back down that channel (especially at night), there can be alot of boat traffic and I need to hear whats coming. Plus, when I get to the beach I can rock out! They did give me a little of the lamb before heading back to their house (at which there was already a large party). It was delicious and smoky. They invited me to come to the house (which was very kind, considering I had just met them!) but I had to pick up my fiance a short while later and was unable to go. Ray, the fishing does seem to be good in the first part of the channel, but I'm just assuming that, since I am a horrible fisherman! I love to go but usually get nothing other than weeds! I do see a ton of people fishing the area, who probably know what they are doing. And I'm about the same when it comes to the pole, I usually bring it but dont always use it. If they start jumping around me then I will try some casts. If you have any fishing tips I'm all ears!
