Honeoye is a nice lake but this time of year has allot of PWC riders and might hinder the paddling. Canadice is only a couple miles west and no PWC's allowed. Just be sure to download and print the watershed permit.

Ended up at Canadice instead. Thanks for the advise. Nice, quiet lake. Can't believe the wife and daughter were getting in to fishing.

Looks like a blast. Did you have any luck fishing? Canadice can be tricky. Since the lake gets very deep fairly quickly it hard to catch anything unless your close to shore. Some people slowly jig from the bottom up where it gets deep and they claim they can hook into a big laker from time to time but I have never had any luck with it. Ice fishing on canadice is very productive and thats the only time I have seen any nice lakers pulled out of there.

Haha good kid. I have been wanting to set up a 2 pole trolling rig on the kayak for this lake but haven't had the time/money/partner in crime to do it yet. Every now and then you will see a guy in a small motorized, trolling slow and they seem pull up a lake trout from time to time.
