South end of Canandaigua Lake VIA West River.

The GF and I took a little trip today since we both had the day off. We trekked down to the Naples area and put in on the West River which feeds Canandaigua lake. I will put Directions and a map in the places to paddle area. The duck weed was overwhelming in som areas but we managed to get through it ok. Here are some pics.


We put in about 2.5 miles upstream from the lake. The fishing access is for car top boats as well.


This is the view from the bridge that the DEC access is next too.



Heading down stream, this is one of the worst spots for the duck weed.


Finaly made it to the lake. I am just realizing my PFD makes my back look HUGE. I promise I am not that fat PROMISE!

A couple pics of the south end of tha lake looking north. We went to the east shore, ate lunch and swam a bit before heading back.





The paddle on the way back was a little cooler but all in all it wasn't too bad considering the heat.
