Well I couldn't wait any longer...I got my canoe out of the garage yesterday and threw it on the truck. Went to Honeoye Creek in Rush, and attempted to enjoy a few hours of canoeing by myself. The creek is moving so fast right now that I couldn't do much without having a shuttle arrangement, so I paddled upstream first. This was quite a workout, paddling my arms off and getting about 10 feet. But hey, I was back on the water! So I paddled upstream a ways, made a few casts with the fishing pole, and then had a fun quick run downstream back to where I put in. I wish I had some pictures to post, but there was no time for getting the camera out, it was constant paddling. This would be a great little run to do in about a half day with a shuttle arranged. The season has begun!
