| Last year I watched the fireworks from he river in the kayak and it was awesome. I am planning on doing it again this year if anyone is up for it. I can say the paddle is not for the novice due to the current of the Genny and the paddle back at night. If you would like to come, bring LOTs of lights for you and your boat. I was ill prepared last year and it was sketchy getting back to the put in in the dark. I will be leaving the put in at about 8:00 so be there a little early so we can come up with a little game plan. I would also suggest bungees, ropes etc to tie on to the wall/other boats when in position to watch. We will be putting in on the river in the Genesee Valley Park, west side of the river where the waterways center is. This is a great experience but I will stress it is not for people new to paddling (bad experience last year). Here is where the put in will be. Genesee Valley Park | |

| Wow I can't believe no one else is planning on going on this yet! This is gonna be an awesome paddle people! A night paddle, on the river, to watch fireworks...it doesn't get much better! Well, maybe it does, I'm definitely brining a few beers to go with the fireworks!

| I am pretty sure I will be there, though my ride is up in the air. We are down to one car right now and my girl is working an overnight. Worst case I may just paddle there from my house along the canal. Anyways, if you see a green liquid logic boat, its me! Hope to see you there! | |

| If you end up stuck for a ride let me know. I can strap mine to the roof of my truck, and we can throw yours on Ray's roof rack. Yes I just volunteered Ray to transport your boat. (Suck it Ray)  Seriously though, let us know. | |

| Thanks, thats very kind of you (& Ray, ha!) to offer. Hopefully I will have use of the car, but I will have to see. We need more bodies too! I want to get a whole flotilla of kayakers to go! Come on out people, this will be a great paddle! Also, I was out on the Genesee last night, scouting for a closer launch. I found a decent one that would be in the U of R campus, but I'm going back to look again either tomm. or Friday, I will keep you posted. | |

| The UofR launch is about halfway in between Genesee valley park launch and the fireworks if I remember correctly. There may be another lady coming that I met up with last year but I dont know if she will be there or not. | |
