This is my girlfriends sister and her husband on their beautiful hombuilt tandem. I was stupid and didn't get any close ups of it but its a very nice hand made kayak.

We decided to climb a mountain...This is the look of a man who just went up a mountain wearing crocks.

Great pics Ray, it looks like a great trip. We are just planning a trip up that way in the next week or two. I was debating between Lake Placid and Saranac lake. Have you done a trip to Saranac before? Are there any primitive campsites along the shore of either that you know of? Well, the pics of the food has me hungry, gota go to lunch. Great posting!

We actualy stayed in Wilmington which was 15 mins north east of Placid. Our site wasn't on water but I'm shure there are plenty of places up there that have sites on water. If you want to stay a little closer to home I would suggest Nicks Lake just outside of Old Forge. The sites are great and they have allot of them on the water. I'm shure if you search long enough you can find up in the Saranac/Placid area.
